About Gelmora · Newtown, CT

A Security Shop Small Enough to Know Your Front Desk by Name.

You leave with a signed risk analysis, a ranked fix list and a staff that squints at suspicious emails. We get there by being the kind of consultancy that answers its own phone and says “router closet” without flinching.

Where we work

The Origin Story

Why We Only Do Small Practices

Big security firms bill like they’re defending a bank. Your clinic has six chairs and a coffee maker.

Gelmora started at a desk on Megans Cir in Newtown with a simple irritation: independent clinics were being quoted enterprise-sized prices for a job that, done properly, fits in three weeks and one tidy report.

So we built the shop around that job. We learned the vocabulary of dental offices and therapy groups: operatories, charting software, the shared login nobody admits to. We write findings in the language of the person who has to fix them, not the one who has to impress a conference.

The result is a consultancy with one rule that never bends: you should know what it costs before we begin, what we found before anyone else does, and what to do about it before the week is out.

Values, but Make Them Useful

Five House Rules We Actually Follow

  • i.

    Quote it in writing

One flat fee, on paper, before we touch a single workstation. If scope changes, we call you first. Not the invoice.

  • ii.

    Bad news arrives privately

If we find something ugly, you hear it from us, in person, with a fix already attached. Never from an auditor.

  • iii.

    Nobody gets shamed for clicking

Phishing is built to fool smart people. Our fake emails teach; they don’t name and blame.

  • iv.

    Work around the patients

Walk-throughs happen before the first appointment or over lunch. The schedule is sacred; the router closet can wait for 8am.

  • v.

Plain English, even in the footnotes

If a finding needs a glossary, we rewrite the finding. Your reports should survive a read-through by the practice manager.

Working With Us

What a Gelmora Engagement Feels Like

Less “IT audit,” more “competent neighbor who happens to read the Security Rule for fun.”

The Voice on the Phone

The same two people, start to handover

Whoever answers your first call is who walks your office and who sits across from you at the handover. You will not be passed to a queue, a portal, or a junior with a script.

The Walk-Through

We look where others don’t

Under the front desk, behind the X-ray cart, inside the closet with the blinking box.

The Report

Findings with a pulse

Every item scored, ranked and written so you can forward it to your IT vendor without a translator.

What We Won’t Do

A short list of refusals

  • Sell you a dashboard you’ll never log into.
  • Lock you into a retainer to read your own report.
  • Pretend a compliant binder equals a secure office.
  • Give legal advice. We’re security consultants and say so.

Say Hello

Easier to Ask Out Loud Than to Draft an Email.

Tell us what your practice looks like and whether it’s keeping you up. We’ll tell you honestly if we’re the right fit.
